{"id":544,"date":"2016-12-12T15:46:50","date_gmt":"2016-12-12T14:46:50","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/vonarburg.co\/en\/?page_id=544"},"modified":"2022-09-20T17:31:13","modified_gmt":"2022-09-20T15:31:13","slug":"ducati-900-ss","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/vonarburg.co\/en\/work\/ducati-900-ss\/","title":{"rendered":"Ducati 900 SS"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Reinterpreting the Ducati 900 SS <\/p>\n<p>When the Ducati vertical shaft engines (K\u00f6nigswellenmotoren) were replaced by considerably more reliable drive belts in the 1990s, the design of the motorcycles changed. The 900 SuperSport \u2013 a stylish road-going sports bike \u2013 is a very successful example of Ducatis featuring the new type of engine. With the innovation, the linear frame design disappeared. New curves and soft edges became the characteristics of the model.  Today, these characteristics make it harder for owners to convert the 900 SS into a classic cafe racer.
